Differences in the imaging features and distribution of non-indolent and indolent mastocytosis: a single institution experience of 29 patients
2017, Clinical ImagingCitation Excerpt :Tissues often involved by mast cell infiltration include skin, bone, liver, spleen, bowel, and lymph nodes. Among the risk factors associated with a worse prognosis are hepatosplenomegaly, presence of ascites, low platelet count, low serum albumin, low hemoglobin, and a high lactate dehydrogenase [9–11]. No consensus or guidelines exist on the role of imaging in the evaluation of mastoctysosis.
